A few years ago, I discovered the magnificent world of blogs. Over a few weeks I accumulated a list of around 30 blogs that I would check every day. This was a major time consumer, however, so you can imagine my ecstasy when I found Google Reader- a wonderful service that pulled all the blogs I followed into one place and even let me categorize or favorite them. Since Google Reader’s demise this past summer, I’ve switched to Feedly with a culled and refined blog list. Today I’m sharing with you just a few of the blogs that have made the cut over the years:

Jasmine Star is an incredible wedding photographer who captures couples’ love in the moment with an editorial style flair. She also shares shooting tips, peeks into her life, and equipment reviews, as well.
Lemonade and Lenses: lemonadeandlenses.com
Lemonade and Lenses is an amazing blog that features a shoot from a different photographer each day. The featured images range from maternity sessions to senior sessions, so if you need some photographic inspiration, head on over.
The Beauty Department: thebeautydepartment.com
The Beauty Department is a blog that shares great and practical hair, makeup and nail tips daily. This is one of the only strictly beauty blogs that’s managed to stay on my blog list since I began blog-reading. I actually found them the very day they began to post and have kept reading since then.

As far as family photographers are concerned, Anglea Weedon and her husband are some of the very best. Their pictures capture life as it is and show the real bonds in a family.

A Beautiful Mess is a wonderful blog run by some downright wonderful people. Elsie and Emma are the two sisters and creators of the blog who regularly post recipes, DIYs, hairstyles, home decor tips and much more.
Yellow Skinny Photos: yellowskinnyphotos.net
Yellow Skinny Photos is another amazing husband and wife duo. They photograph everything from babies to families and seniors. I absolutely love the look and feel of their photos, so definitely go and check them out.
The One Ring . Net: theonering.net
This post wouldn’t be complete without the obligatory nerd blog. The One Ring dot Net is a great site for everything Tolkien related, from the books to the movies and everything in-between. They feature interviews with the actors of the Lord of The Rings and Hobbit movies and even have a forum where Tolkien fans unite to discuss the books, movies, costumes and more.
