Alanna’s a girl after my own heart: she practically lives at the beach and shares a love for music, soccer, and being outdoors. Her session is one of my favorites to date, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be bringing her images to the blog today! We met on a sun-soaked day at a lush green field, and began her shoot, avoiding gray mounds of fire ants, toting props and a guitar. Small, white and wild daisies were in bloom (at least I believe they were daisies), the weather wasn’t too hot, yet, and there were no clouds in sight: an ideal day and location. We chatted about music, school, and upcoming fall plans: Alanna will be heading off to the University of Florida in the fall to pursue her goal of becoming an orthodontist.
After shooting in the field, we packed up and headed to the beach. Dark clouds began intruding, but we finished up before they could let loose and put a damper on the session. I don’t want to give away too much about the images we captured on the beach (you’ll have to scroll to see them!) but they were absolutely fun and just a bit splashed with saltwater. Alanna, you’re absolutely incredible and I wish you all the best in whatever you set out to achieve!

Happy Monday, friends! Make today an excellent day.
Quote of the day: “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.”
Golden light, football, and an American Flag make for a pretty patriotic session. Tony, class of 2017, came in his football jersey with various props in hand on a bright and sunny afternoon, and we began his shoot. We started the session at his high school, chatting about senior year, his thesis project and last season of football, walking and capturing images along the way. From the football field to the next location, his shoot was marked by amazing light and a good time. Tony, your session was a blast and I wish you the best in all you set out to achieve!

Have a great weekend, friends!
Quotes of the day: “The game of life is a lot like football. You have to tackle your problems, block your fears, and score your points when you get the opportunity.”
Picture a day filled with sunshine, glitter, big band music, and fun, then include a gorgeous senior, a castle, and a whole bunch of pixie dust, and you have Olivia’s senior session. She came all the way down from Tennessee for her senior session, and we made it a day to remember, waltzing through an only lightly-crowded Magic Kingdom in pure golden light, stopping along the way at cute locations and to discuss Dole Whips. We made sure to stop at some special locations, such as the Be Our Guest restaurant, Big Top Circus, and even rode around on the carousel, which was especially magical because there was no one else around us and it felt like we had the ride all to ourselves. Her outfits were perfect: colorful sundresses and even her cheer uniform, poms, and cap + gown. It was a day to remember.
Olivia is a radiant, beautiful gal, and I had a blast chatting with her as we made our way through the most magical place on earth. She’s obsessed with all things Disney, has the goal of visiting every country in Europe, is a dog person and dreams of one day opening her own sanctuary-like location for rescue dogs who are in need of homes. After graduation, she’ll be heading off to school to pursue her dream of becoming a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in order to give newborns the extra care they need to help them thrive. Olivia, you have a heart of gold and I know you’ll achieve everything you set out to accomplish.

Quote of the day: “Pixie dust makes growing up a little easier.”
Allie’s senior session was golden, beautiful, and fun, and started off with an unexpected breeze. It was a bright and sunshiney day in Florida as we both pulled up to our first location. Allie had giant balloons that spelled 2017, beautiful outfits, and a bright, spunky personality: a recipe for a fantastic session. As we were getting ready to head into the field, a rogue breeze wafted through and snatched an un-anchored “0” balloon from her car, and away it went: over the trees and pastures, calmly shining while we were left with 217. Luckily, Allie is a go-with-the-flow gal and she laughed it off, thankful we were left with 17, which still worked beautifully. We tromped through bushes and grass, chatting about life, work, and school, all while trying to keep the giant balloons under control and tied onto their anchors. The balloons stayed tied, and we had an amazing shoot.
Allie is an animal lover and when she first contacted me about a senior session, she asked if she could bring her two golden retrievers along to her second location- I said yes immediately and love the images we captured with them. Bora Bora is her dream travel destination, and between work and school you’ll probably find her dancing and singing in her car. After graduation, Allie will head off to college to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy. Allie, your contagious laugh and fun personality made this shoot absolutely beautiful and it’s one of my new favorites. I wish you all the best in all you set out to accomplish!

Have a fantastic rest of your week, friends.
