Maegan | Walt Disney World Senior Session | Class of 2018

If I made a list of my favorite sessions from this year, Maegan’s would be among the top. Everything about her session was perfect: from the light, to the Christmas decorations, her outfits, the unique spots we found, and her beautiful handmade floral ears; it all came together to make a stunner of a shoot. We met on a bright day against the backdrop of a pastel colored row of shops, complete with the scents of popcorn and cotton candy with a hint of nostalgic Christmas music. It is now Christmas in the kingdom, and considering it’s her favorite holiday and mine, it made our day even more magical. Away we went, chasing the light down Main Street, looking at the decorations, shooting and chatting about life, photography, our shared love of Disney (she has an Instagram account solely devoted to all things Disney!), 90s style, the Disney College Program, and college plans.

Maegan is a bright and wonderful gal and I’m excited to see what her future holds. Photography, creative writing, and journalism are her passions, and she aspires to attend the University of Central Florida to pursue a degree relating to those fields and complete a Disney College Program. Mickey waffles, makeup, Starbucks, concerts, Ed Sheeran, Riverdale, 90s style, Shawn Mendes, and stuffed crust pizza are some of her favorite things, and she’s even started an Etsy ear shop, Fairy Ear Makers. Her ideal day would be spent with her family at Walt Disney World, and her bucket list includes visiting Castaway Cay, Disney’s Aulani Resort, and Disneyland. Maegan, your session is one of my absolute favorites and I had a blast getting to know you! I wish you the best in everything you set out to accomplish, and let me know when you’re back in the area- we can grab Disney Starbucks and watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade.

Enjoy the images.

Have a lovely rest of your weekend, friends. Make it count.

Cammi | Walt Disney World Senior Session | Class of 2018

If you take golden light, whimsical locations, a beautiful senior, and just a dash of magic, you have the recipe for an unforgettable senior session. Cammi’s was one of these. We met on a golden afternoon at a tropical paradise of a resort- complete with slide guitar and ukulele music- and began her session. Winding through the bamboo and palm lined pathways, we chatted about Disney, career aspirations, photography, and her plans after graduation in the spring. Cammi will be heading off to Michigan State University to major in environmental science, with aspirations to become an environmental photographer for the history channel. From the Polynesian to the Grand Floridian and to the most magical of kingdoms, her shoot was one in a million and I’m thrilled to bring her session to the blog today. Cammi, I had a wonderful time on your session and wish you the best in all you set out to achieve!

Enjoy the images.

I hope you’re having a wonderful Christmas season, friends!

Alyssa | Walt Disney World Senior Session | Class of 2018

Meet the lovely Alyssa: a fantastic writer, gem of a gal, actress, vintage enthusiast, and twirling queen. Class of 2018. Her boardwalk + Epcot senior session was one for the books, and I’m excited to bring it to the blog on this fine fall evening. We met under a slightly cloudy sky- a welcomed respite from the Florida heat- and began her session. Alyssa was outfitted in a stunning + classy unique vintage dress, complete with pockets and a full skirt for twirling, at which she was especially talented. Chatting about school, Disney, mac ‘n cheese, and Marvel, we explored the boardwalk area, finding the best places for images and shooting along the way. We made our way across the world and traveled through France, the U.K., and Canada, all in the span of the evening, and I’m thrilled with the images we captured.

Alyssa’s initial email to me was so eloquently and well-written I immediately imagined her to be a classy and well-read gal with aspirations to become a writer. I was correct. She is into vintage styles, writing, musical theatre, bookstores, and will be majoring in both journalism and musical theatre in college. Keeping up with the Kardashians is one of her not-guilty pleasures, she was Twitter famous back in the day, and would love to visit the coast of Maine. Alyssa, I had such a wonderful time with you on your shoot! I adore how your session turned out, and I can’t thank you enough for reminding me to go and purchase the new Spiderman movie. 😉 Let me know if you’re ever back in the area and we can get the best mac ‘n cheese Disney has to offer. I wish you the best in everything you set out to achieve!

Enjoy the images.

Have an absolutely wonderful day, friends! Make it count.

Grace | Walt Disney World Senior Session | Class of 2018

Something that I have learned from my photographic endeavors is that within every senior is  a unique magic + flair, and that rule held true for this shoot: Grace brought her session to life with her enthusiasm, energy, and laughter. We met on a beautiful fall day on the backdrop of a candy colored street peppered with fall decorations and the sounds of complementary big band music. The light was perfect, the weather was less than scorching, and we began her session. As we traveled the length of the street + beyond, we chatted about the Disney parks, upcoming college plans, career goals, and Dole Whip. From a land of tomorrow to the corners of fantasy, we traveled through a kingdom and finished around sunset, the most magical time at the most magical place.

Grace is one of those people who makes your life better for knowing them. We had been in contact since February (February! Before I even knew I would be attending UCF or what my major would be!) and finally meeting her in person was like reconnecting with a good friend from the past. She is involved in her school’s theater program as a set designer (She showed me a picture of one of her upcoming sets and it was incredible! Take note, Disney. 😉 ), is a Disney Parks nerd, loves to read, and has applied to eight different schools across the country. Her dream job is being a creative director for Walt Disney Imagineering, her dream trip is backpacking around Europe, and her guilty pleasure is an iced vanilla latte. Grace, you’re already doing great things and I know you’ll continue to do so from this point and beyond! I wish you all the best, and if you visit Orlando again or even decide to attend UCF, know you have a friend here.

Enjoy the images!

Have an absolutely outstanding day, friends!
