About

Hello, friend! I’m Emily.

I’m a golden light seeker, lemonade enthusiast, and visual storyteller.

A self-proclaimed “old-soul,” I have a relaxed personality and a love for knowledge. I’m also an admitted bookworm and am especially fond of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, Charlotte Brontë, C.S. Lewis, and Arthur Conan Doyle, amongst many others. I dig small and quirky towns, journals, antique stores, and chocolate cake doughnuts. Spending time outdoors and immersing myself in God’s stunning creation is my favorite getaway, and my ideal day consists of a cold glass of freshly made homemade lemonade and a good book in the shade of a tree.

You can usually find me jamming out to Rend Collective, reading, or attempting to learn a tune on my banjo.

There has always been a camera in my hands; my love for photography took root when I was a wee child. At six years old I would take my plain, small, silver film camera, walk around and photograph my family, friends and the often overlooked nuances of life around me. Those grainy and simple photographs are now some of my most cherished images; they reflect a fleeting time in my life and evoke lovely memories when I look at them.

My goal is to capture your life in this moment. I want to tell a story. This story is yours—the wonderful, real and authentic you at this point in your journey. Whether it’s adventure of graduating high school, the joy of being a part of a family, or simply the everyday moments that we so often take for granted, I want you to be able to look at your images in the years to come and remember what life was like in that time and place.

Every day brings new adventures and I can’t wait to capture your story.

Psst: I love to travel, so if you live outside (or even inside of Florida, it’s a big state!) and want to schedule a shoot, let’s talk.

Look for new posts on Mondays.

  1. Hey awesome blog! You take awesome photographs, they really capture the moment! Hopefully I’ll be able to get a nice camera before I start my next set of adventures, but for now I’m stuck with my iPhone 5…. Anyways I really enjoyed your blog and pictures!

    • Thanks so much, John. 🙂 I really strive for capturing the moment, so I’m glad that’s how you feel about my photography! Have fun on your next set of adventures.

  2. Hey emily! I’m in LOVE with your pictures! I just recently got engaged and would love to take engagement pictures at Magic Kingdom. Where can I find pricing on your website? I’m not sure when the engagement photos will be, but I would love to work with you.
