Nick + Sami | Rainy Day Engagement Session

Ever since I photographed a couple in Tennessee last fall, I’ve been wanting to photograph more couples and engagement sessions. You can imagine my delight when one of my friends asked if she could gift an engagement session to her newly engaged friends Nick and Sami; I immediately said yes. They had recently gotten engaged at Walt Disney World, so I already knew we would hit it off splendidly. After lining up schedules with them, we met under moss-covered oak trees and began their session. We made our way through the leaf-covered ground, glancing every so often at the dark clouds that were moving towards us, chatting about life, country music, how they met (in culinary school in college!) and their plans for the future.

It began to rain as we were walking to our next location and we dashed to the nearest shelter as the fat raindrops started falling with more intensity. I’m usually of the mindset that rain and clouds are undesirable, but they turned Nick and Sami’s shoot into something out of a romance movie. True to Florida nature, the rain clouds passed within ten minutes, but we fully took advantage of the cooler weather and fairytale-like feel the elements brought to capture some unique images. Nick and Sami- you two were an absolute blast to be with and I’m thrilled with the images we captured! I wish you all the best.

Enjoy the images.

Have a wonderful and rest filled weekend, y’all!
