I’ll be honest, y’all: I had so much fun on this session. It was also an adventure and involved trekking through a mini forest, a slight detour because of unexpected road work, and a whole lot of beautiful light. This is fitting, though, because MacKenzie is an adventurous gal. We rolled up to the first location, and boy, was it was overgrown. Because of my college program, I hadn’t visited the field in just over a year and it had reclaimed the pathways. All of them. MacKenzie was a trooper and we waded through chest high grasses and other assorted plants in order to find the patches of golden light leaking through the trees, chatting about life and school along the way. We chased the light over to the beach side and found it alongside a row of small stores and at the lifeguard station by the shore.
After graduation in the spring, MacKenzie will be majoring in nursing in order to become to be a Nurse Practitioner to help people and be able to travel while making a difference with her career. She’s an adventurous soul: besides traveling as a nurse in the medical field, she aspires to backpack across Europe and road trip through Yellowstone National Park, both of which sound like an absolutely incredible adventure. The color pink makes her smile, bison are favorite animal, and she’s super involved at school: she holds the titles of President of Key Club, Editor in Chief of the yearbook, and Vice President of the student body. When she does have free time, she tutors elementary school students. MacKenzie, I had such an amazing time with you on your session and wish you all the best!

Have a fantastic Thursday, everyone!
