The Best Of // 2015 Recap

Trying to pick out your favorite images from multiple sessions is like trying to choose a favorite child. Nearly impossible. Granted, I am slightly indecisive, but I will admit this post is long overdue. I meant to share a 2015 recap in January, but as I kept looking through my images I found some from years past I wanted to include and couldn’t choose which to leave out. Today’s the day this post goes live and I am thrilled to display a selection of my all time favorite images- most of which from this year, with a few antiques thrown into the mix.

It was enjoyable to revisit my sessions and remember the people, places, and memories of them all. These aren’t all of my favorite images, but are just some that stood out from the sessions I’ve looked back at recently.

Do you have a favorite image? If so, let me know below!

Have a wonderful weekend.

  1. Great pictures! I have two favorites – I love the one of the young lady with the sparkler; the way the smoke is flowing out of the glow in an almost herringbone pattern, the colors and shapes of the sea grape leaves, her beautiful smile and the fun time she portrays she is having.
My other favorite picture, is the one of the young lady (Relick?) and her horse; wow! I love her expression, the different textures of the blades grass, the soft ripples in the water, the relationship with the horse, and the black and white.
    Beautiful work, Emily 🙂

    • Why thank you, Luina! 🙂 Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a peek at the images. Those are some of my favorites as well! The images from Sophia’s session with the horse in the lake are some of the ones I adore the most.

  2. Hi Emily. I would just like to say that your photography is quite beautiful! You have such a great eye for making photos speak words. I think you have a great gift, and I hope you pursue it to the best of your ability. I very much enjoy your website as well.

    Sincerely,
    Nick Ellis
