“So, I was thinking about doing my senior pictures at Disney.”
Why wouldn’t I say yes? A senior shoot at Disney? Sign. Me. Up.
If you’ve followed my blog for any amount of time, you probably know I love Disney, visit there quite a bit, and am moving to Orlando in the spring to work there in the College Program. Needless to say, it’s a lifelong passion. Lauren shares that same passion, and this session was the mesh of our love for the parks and the magic of Disney.
Our day started off around noon when we loaded up began the journey to Orlando. Living in Florida has its perks; you’re never that far away from Walt Disney World. We arrived at the Ticket and Transportation Center and boarded the tram. It was a gorgeous 76 degrees outside with just the right amount of cloud cover to keep it cool. Our shoot ensued, and the session began. I won’t say where we started for pictures or what we got there- you’ll just have to scroll down a bit and find out for yourself.
Lauren’s a rad gal. She’s into soccer, volleyball, One Direction, and of course, Disney. Hollywood studios is her favorite park, and even though Dole Whips are high on her list of best Disney desserts, the custard-filled and coconut topped Norwegian School Bread from Epcot takes the cake. The Jungle Cruise’s quips, puns, and downright fun atmosphere puts it at the top of her favorite rides at Disney, but it’s safe to say there are other rides that vie for that place. After graduation, Lauren will be heading off to Southeastern University to pursue Missional Ministries.
We shot solidly all day, taking quick breaks to change and snack, but as the light went down in the Magic Kingdom, we stopped, stretched, ordered pot-roast mac n’ cheese and caught our collective breath around a table at Pinocchio’s Village Haus. At 9:00pm the night festivities began with the Main Street Electrical Parade, which was a dream to see (it’s my hands-down favorite thing at Disney), and it was so nice we caught it twice with the 11pm showing. Between the two parades, the Wishes fireworks spectacular dazzled the night, prefaced by the Celebrate the Magic light show.
Needless to say, it was one of the best shoots ever, one of the best days ever, and I’m incredibly excited to bring this session to the blog today. Lauren, you’re amazing, and I wish you all the best in whatever you set out to achieve.
Enjoy the images.
I hope you have a magical week, friends.
Quote/verse of the day: “And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
